Infamous 2 good side ending relationship

infamous 2 good side ending relationship

Aug 10, Last month I played infamous 2 which left me feel unsatisfied. . I did enjoy fighting Kuo in the good ending though. . First off, Cole does not form a sexual/ girlfriend relationship with either Nix or Kao, so the choice between 'good girlfriend and evil . The side quests were not as reptitive and boring. Having just finished inFamous: Second Son (finally), I can't help but feel It's not the worst story, as I said things pick up a bit toward the end, however the By my estimation there was a great deal more to be done with side quests and .. evil Delsin yet his relationship with Delsin is the same whether you are good or evil. May 10, Infamous Second Son takes place seven years after the events of Players overwhelmingly chose to play through Infamous 2's good ending.

Sacha was the first boss Cole had to fight during infamous 1 and was known to be used by Kessler.

Sacha was terribly in love with Kessler and when you played as evil Cole in part 1 she'd become Cole's mistress. The thing that you've missed is that inFamous 2 has extremely well written and flawed characters making them human. I hated Nix at the start, but as I played on, I began to sympathize. This girl had her family killed, had face adversity and poverty her whole life.

She isn't evil, she's just wreckless and has nothing to gain from playing the saint. And in fact, at the end of the game, she shows herself to have true humanity. Kao by comparison is equally flawed, having the best of intentions from the start.

She makes rash decisions, and is unable to come to terms with her powers. Also using Sacha wouldn't have worked because not everyone, myself included, played inFamous 1 being evil.

In fact, I think being evil in inFamous is kinda silly. What also left me puzzled about Cole was how he bluntly forgot Trish. She was only mentioned twice in the game. One time by Zeke, which left Cole sad for five seconds and the second time was during the dead drops, describing what had happened to her. Trish died about 1 months before infamous 2. Cole must be cold hearted if he forgets his deceased girlfriend within just 1 month. Well, Cole didn't have time to grieve did he?

He had to prepare for the Beast. Fate of mankind, ya know, slightly more important. Cole's character doesn't get much of a personality anyways cuz the game has to allow for your karmic decisions. Bertrand was a boring character. A typical christian redneck republican I'd assume.

Why infamous 2 sucked. | IGN Boards

His only motives were that he was disappointed in his conduit powers and that god probably did not intend for humans to have these powers. This whole theory of Bertrand was not explained in a lot of detail.

I'd say he was just there to fill the game until John turned out to be the beast. They could've used someone else for this though! She could've secretly acquired a number of conduit goons, like she did in the first game, try to talk Cole into doing evil things as maybe to revenge Kessler by ruining his plan? The ending could be the same but he'd kill Kuo and Zeke. Cole'd become the beast to rule over the world together with Sacha.

A motive, consistent with part 1, no racial stereotypes and a dramatic betrayal. While I agree that Bertrand wasn't as interesting as Sasha, you're placing so much on this one character. First you want her to be the Nix character, now you want her to be the Bertrand character too. After Kessler's gone, her story is pretty much void. Bertrand was a good place holder antagonist, he represents that primal fear inside of every human being to be afraid and hostile to something that's different.

Bertrand plays on that, turns peoples fear into something aggressive to mask his own conduit gene which he was disappointed in. Its not exactly a complicated motive, but its an old fashioned one that works.

Gameplay wise the game left me wondering what Sucker Punch was trying to do. In part 1 the powers were interesting and manageable.

Why infamous 2 sucked.

In part 2 the powers became unmanageable. It is a lot easier to level up your evil karma level because anybody can be turned into an evil action. When you choose good karma, you only raise your karma during battle if you have a way to subdue enemies, and you need to find good karma actions on the map.

Also, it is easy to accidentally kill a civilian or something like that and have a negative impact on your karma. On the contrary, when playing with evil karma, all kills count towards your rampage and you can go ahead and just kill random civilians to boost your karma. Also, most good karma events on the map can be used for evil karma by just executing people you were supposed to save.

This is not to say that it is necessarily easier on evil karma.

Your karma does level faster, but that does not mean you will kill enemies faster or anything like that. It just means you might not have to put in as much effort. Story For the most part, the story is very similar, regardless of which path you choose.

inFAMOUS Second Son: Good Karma or Evil Karma?

Having said that, the differences that do occur are mostly in the cutscenes and what the other characters think of you. If you choose good karma, your tribe will generally be a lot more accepting of you. They will want you back home and rejoice when you get home. If you choose evil karma, they do not have the same reaction. I won't ruin the story here, but let's just say they are not pleased with what you have done. As far as the other conduits go, for the most part it did not make a difference.

Delsin and Fetch establish a more intimate relationship if you choose evil karma, but Eugene pretty much stays the same.

The important thing to note is that there are no major impacts on the story, there is no main character that dies only on one karma choice or anything like that.

  • *SPOILERS* - Which ending should be considered canon?

If you would like the feeling of esteem that comes from crowds cheering and supporting you, then pick good karma because, naturally, people don't like you when you are evil.

Powers This is probably what you are putting the most weight on for your karma choice; although, it is still a fairly subtle difference. Originally, I had planned to write a list of each individual karma-dependent power upgrade and do a break-down of the two karmas; however, I soon realized that this list was going to be much more extensive than I first planned.

Also, most of the upgrades actually counteract each other, to the point where they don't make a difference. So, I decided that I will, instead, just run through a quick breakdown of the differences I found noticeable when I was playing.

There are only a couple that really make a difference. Laser Insight - Neon While collecting core relays for neon abilities you will come across one of my favourite abilities: This ability basically provides for an instant subdue or instant kill you can do either, but you should probably do the one that corresponds to your karma choice. To give a quick breakdown of the ability itself, when you zoom in, your character highlights weak points on the enemy.
